The kinds of personal data we process 

LI-MA (henceforth 'we' or 'us') processes your personal data in the capacity of controller in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation ('GDPR') because you use our services and/or because you yourself fill in a form provided by us on the website. When processing your personal data, we respect your privacy and we never process more personal data than necessary. On this page we provide information about the categories of personal data we collect when you use our services, why we collect this data and how we process it. 

Personal data means any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. Depending on the situation, we process one or more of the following categories of personal data: 

• Basic data such as your first and last name, prefix, title; 
• Contact details such as your email address, postal address and telephone number; 
• Information about the device you use to visit our website, such as an IP address; 
• Your bank account number; 
• Personal data that you provide to us in the context of attending events or other physical or digital meetings; 
• Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of a job application, such as your first and last name, date of birth, address, telephone number, nationality, marital status and all other personal data mentioned in your job application; 
• Any other personal data relating to you that you provide to us or that we may obtain in connection with the purposes and based on the bases set out below. 

We process this personal data because you have provided it to us. 

Visiting our website 

When you visit our website, we process your IP address. The purpose of this processing is to generate statistics regarding the use of the website in order to analyze and improve it. Cookies are placed here. The legal basis for processing this personal data is our legitimate intention to make the website function properly and to collect data with which we can improve it. The website statistics are generated by Google Analytics and Matomo Analytics. Google and Matomo receive your personal data in this context. Ticket sales 

When selling tickets, we collect the following information: salutation (not mandatory), name, email address, place of residence, country and payment details per payment type. We process this personal data for the purpose of executing the purchase agreement concluded with you. 

The legal basis for processing this personal data is the performance of the agreement concluded with you and/or compliance with a legal obligation. Payments for the tickets are made using the Adyen online payment platform. In this context, Adyen receives your personal data. 

Subscribing to one of our newsletters 

When subscribing to our newsletters, we collect the following data: name and email address. We process this personal data for the purpose of sending you our newsletter. The legal basis for processing this personal data is your consent. When sending the newsletter, email marketing software from MailChimp is used. In this context, MailChimp receives your personal data. 

Relationship management 

When maintaining and managing relationships with, among others, visitors, benefactors, artists, museums and other companies, we collect the following data: name, address, place of residence, telephone number (not mandatory) and email address. We process this personal data to maintain various relationships. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of an agreement or our legitimate interest to maintain relationships in order to improve services, products, communication and fundraising. 

Applications and employees 

From applicants to vacancies at LI-MA, we collect the following data: name, place of residence, email address, telephone number, gender and other personal data that include your LinkedIn profile, CV and/or letter of motivation. We process this personal data to process your application. The legal basis for processing this personal data is our legitimate interest in finding suitable candidates. After an applicant has been hired, a personnel file is kept on the basis of a legal obligation. 

Store and secure 

We do not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected, with the exception of statutory retention periods. In addition, we take appropriate security measures to prevent misuse of and unauthorised access to your personal data. To guarantee an adequate level of security, we take various technical and organisational measures. 

Sharing personal data with third parties 

We may provide your personal data to employees of LI-MA and third parties who provide services to us, for example for payment processing or for sending newsletters. Insofar as a third party processes your personal data in the capacity of a processor of LI-MA, we conclude a processing agreement with this third party that meets the requirements described in the GDPR. Transfer of your personal data to the above third parties only takes place for the purposes stated in this Privacy Statement and solely on the basis of the principles stated in this Privacy Statement. 

We only pass on personal data to Google outside the European Economic Area when using Google Analytics. Google adheres to the Privacy Shield principles, which means that there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of personal data according to Article 45 of the GDPR. 

The right to inspect, adjust or delete 

Under the GDPR you have various rights with regard to your personal data. These rights include the following: 

• The right of access. You can ask us free of charge to provide information about the processing of your personal data. 
• The right to rectification. At your request, we will correct or supplement your personal data if it proves to be incorrect or incomplete, taking into account the purpose of the processing. 
• The right to erasure. We will erase your personal data without unreasonable delay if one of the cases of Article 17 GDPR applies. 
• The right to withdraw your consent. You can withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data at any time. 
• The right to object. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data if we base the processing on the legal basis of legitimate interest. 
• The right to restriction. You have the right to obtain from us a restriction of the processing of your personal data. This right applies if one of the elements of Article 18 GDPR applies. The result of this is that your personal data will (temporarily) not be processed and changed. 
• The right to data portability. You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transfer it to another controller. 
• The right to file a complaint. You have the right to submit a complaint to the national supervision agency, the Personal Data Authority, if you believe that your personal data is being processed in violation of this privacy statement.

Changes to the privacy policy
